Vinyasa & Vino with Amanda Koh
Vin & Vino with Amanda
Some of the best conversations happen after movement - when the nervous system has settled, the overthinking has quieted, and you're left in that loose, open state where connection comes easy. That's the idea behind this one.
We're starting with 90 minutes of long-form vinyasa with Amanda, then moving straight into chats and wine (or something non-alcoholic if that's your jam).
Amanda teaches from a place of play rather than performance. Her approach comes from a simple observation: as kids, none of us thought about optimal hand placement to climb the monkey bars - we just moved, intuitively, without overthinking it. Somewhere between then and now, a lot of us picked up two left feet on the dance floor or a habit of overanalysing every cue in a yoga or Pilates class. Amanda's classes are built to undo that - less "getting it right," more remembering how to move the way you did before anyone told you there was a wrong way. Expect asana used as a tool for energy and connection rather than achievement, movement as medicine rather than a checklist, and a class that meets you exactly where you are before it asks anything more of you.
The 90 minutes will give the practice room to breathe - more space to settle into flow, more time for the parts of class that usually get rushed, and a proper wind-down that leaves you soft rather than switched off. Then we'll roll straight into the social part of the evening: a glass in hand, good company, and the kind of unhurried chat that only happens when everyone in the room has just spent an hour and a half moving together.
This event will suit you if:
- You want a longer, slower practice than your usual class allows
- You like the idea of finishing a class with people, not just a class
- You're curious about Amanda's style and want an extended taste of it
- You're after a genuine night out that doesn't revolve around a loud bar or a late finish
- You'd rather build community over a glass of wine than small talk at the studio door
No experience needed, no pressure to nail every pose, and no obligation to drink - the wine is there if you want it, and there'll always be something else good in the glass if you don't.
