Our Birak Season Community Gathering falls under the last full moon of the year. We use this opportunity to gather in a final celebration as the festive season lands upon us.
This is a ticketed event, and includes snacks & a festive-inspired cocktail or beverage on arrival*, before we settle in circle for reflection under the Birak Full Moon.
The Noongar season of Birak welcomes the easing of rain as it signals the arrival of hot, dry summer months. Easterly morning breezes & westerly winds in the afternoons, create space and safety to burn away the old, in an act of protection and renewal. It is also the time many reptiles shed old skin in favour of their growth, leaving the old version behind.
In acknowledgment of the traditional custodians of our land, we come together to honour the change seasons in WA's South West, with our Full Moon Meditation & Community Gathering.
This is an inclusive space, welcoming all backgrounds, experiences, bodies and identities, whether you meditate regularly or are at the very beginning of exploring its benefits. This is a space to simply rest and allow yourself to be. A chance to connect, create mental space as you release the old, letting go of what no longer serves you, and ushering in the energy required for the initiatives of the coming new moon.
These bi-monthly offerings, run on the first Full Moon of each Noongar season, are a unique blend of guided full moon meditation, community, mantra, & ceremony crafted by each different teacher.
Please bring anything that might serve you (such as a blanket, cushion, or a journal) or anything you'd like to place in the circle, such as favourite crystals or sentimental items.
*Non alcoholic options available
